France – Construction work – MARCHE DE CONCEPTION­ ET REALISATION EN VUE DE L'AUGMENTATION DE CAPACITE DU SYSTEME DE TRANSPORT CDGVAL DE LA PLATEFORME DE L'AÉROPORT DE PARIS-CHARLES DE GAULLE

This consultation concerns the awarding of a design/construction contract to increase the capacity of the CDGVAL transport system on the platform of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. In order to adapt the demand for intra-platform transport, Aéroports de Paris wishes to award a design/construction contract to increase the storage and passenger-carrying capacity of the CDGVAL automated public transport system currently in operation at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, while maintaining the existing system. The envisaged services consist of optimizing and adding functionalities to the existing system, whose technical and functional characteristics are based on software, protocols, hardware and interfaces developed by the company SIEMENS. Indeed, as the passenger-carrying capacity needs to be increased to meet the forecasted increase in user flows, the following must be achieved in particular:

1/ The construction of 3 additional storage tracks in the CDGVAL workshop including, among others, the areas for guidance tracks, driving automation and traction energy.

2/ The adaptation of the existing automation system of the line to take into account: a/ the need to increase carrying capacity; b/ the integration of the trains transferred from the LISA to the CDGVAL line into the network. c/ The new storage tracks.

3/ The potential adaptation of the existing traction system of the line.

4/ The implementation of an Alternate Mode at Terminal 2.

5/ The consideration of a 2-quay solution at Terminal 2.

The contract is divided into one firm lot and three optional lots. The firm lot includes the implementation of the studies associated with the services to increase the capacity of the transport system, including:

- The adjustment of the carrying capacity to 4000 PPHPD.

- For the SMR perimeter, the driving automation, the laying of the tracks, the traction and other systems specified in the Programme. The supervision to be adapted taking into account the additional organs of the SMR

- For the line perimeter, the implementation of the Alternate Mode at T2 and the potential associated modifications to the supervision

Optional Lot 1 includes the implementation of the studies associated with the implementation of a double-quay solution at T2

Optional Lot 2 includes the implementation of the works, installations, tests and commissioning of the following scopes:

- The adjustment of the carrying capacity to 4000 PPHPD.

- For the SMR perimeter, the driving automation, the laying of the tracks and the traction whose scope is given in the technical programme. The supervision to be adapted taking into account the additional organs of the SMR

- For the line perimeter, the implementation of the Alternate Mode at T2 and the potential associated modifications to the supervision

Optional Lot 3 includes the implementation of the works, installations, tests and commissioning of the modifications associated with the implementation of a double-quay solution at T2
