Germany – Environmental planning – Umweltfachliche Projektsteuerung - Bw 102, Ersatzneubau Vorpommernbrücke sowie Umbau L 22

The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock, Department of Civil Engineering, plans the replacement new construction of the Vorpommernbrücke (BW 102) as part of the L 22 over the Warnow. As a result of a feasibility study, a preferred variant has been developed, which specifies a Warnow crossing consisting of 2 substructures. In this context, the traffic facilities on the structure itself and the adjacent road sections on both sides up to the junction West and junction East are to be planned and renewed. This includes both 2 carriageway lanes towards the city and 2 carriageway lanes out of the city, as well as pedestrian and cycle paths on both sides. The planned measure is thematically divided into 3 main parts: 1. the planning of a new northern substructure (possibly incl. Moorbrücken Nord) with the corresponding traffic connections to the adjacent junctions, 2. the planning of the demolition of the existing structures (Vorpommernbrücke, Moorbrücken, traffic sign bridge), 3. the planning of a new southern substructure (possibly incl. Moorbrücken Süd) including the planning of a traffic sign bridge with the corresponding traffic connections to the adjacent junctions. As part of the project, the environmental requirements from nature, species, water, soil, climate and emission protection, including all resulting approvals and ancillary provisions, must be taken into account.
