The IGS Lindenau in Hanau is an integrated comprehensive school with a grammar school upper level. It is located in the outskirts of the Hanau district of Großauheim at Rue de Conflans 4. The school is currently situated on the school grounds in five buildings. The IGS Lindenau is to be expanded into an eight-stream comprehensive school with a four-stream grammar school upper level. To meet the required space, an additional building is to be erected as a freestanding three-storey extension. The main entrance faces the existing buildings. The three-storey school building will be constructed predominantly in reinforced concrete and partly in masonry. The vertical load-bearing elements in the main axes are walls, wall-like beams and columns made of reinforced concrete. The participation competition includes the rough construction work, consisting of reinforced concrete and masonry work, including earthworks and the laying of underground pipes, as well as the site facilities necessary for the rough construction work. Scope of work for site facilities: Set up site facilities 1 pschl. Scope of work for earthworks and backfilling: Excavation, in excavation pit up to 1.00m approx. 1035 m³; Excavation, pipe routes approx. 1500 m³; Backfilling (excavation pit, work area) approx. 150 m³; Produce shoring approx. 210 m². Scope of work for underground pipes, incl. manholes, soakaways, etc.: Underground pipe for rainwater: approx. 430m + 7 manholes; Underground pipe for foul water (outside the building): approx. 160m + 5 manholes; Underground pipe for greywater (outside the building): approx. 5m; Underground pipe for foul water (inside the building): approx. 180m; Underground pipe for greywater (inside the building): approx. 25m; Underground pipe for drinking water: approx. 120m; Foul water connections in WU concrete base slab; (with brick collar) 23 units; Floor drains in WU concrete base slab 3 units. Scope of work for reinforced concrete: RC base slab WU approx. 720 m³; RC ceilings approx. 1060 m³; Perimeter insulation XPS under; base slab approx. 1800 m²; Gravel load-bearing layer, d=30cm approx. 1800 m²; RC walls incl. formwork approx. 1000 m³; Precast concrete staircases approx. 8 units. Scope of work for masonry: Masonry walls approx. 1400 m².
