Finland – Scanning probe microscopes – Flow imaging microscope

The object of the procurement is a flow imaging microscopy system for morphological analysis and numerical estimation of particles in water (size distribution 2µm – 1 mm) under laboratory conditions. The device must be able to image plankton and other particles in water as color images, calculate indicators related to cell and particle size, pigmentation, color and shape from the images, and enable the easy processing of large sample volumes in a reasonable time. The device must be able to separate phytoplankton cells from other particles using chlorophyll fluorescence and enable the use of fluorescent dyes (FITC). The analytics performed by the device must be able to be monitored in real time to ensure quality control. The device software must support basic analytics and classification of particle data. The device must also be able to be used reliably in field conditions on a research vessel.
