Germany – Engineering services – Stadt Lahnstein - Machbarkeitsstudie für das Hallenbad Lahnstein

Stadt LahnsteinGermanyPublished on Mar 17, 2026
No deadline given

Description

1. Situation The indoor pool of the city of Lahnstein was first put into operation in 1976 and will therefore be 50 years old this year. To gain an overview of the overall condition of the pool, a study on the inventory assessment was already carried out in 2021 by the office Krieger Architekten Ingenieure GmbH in cooperation with the engineering office PEC. Regarding the details of the measure, we refer to the inventory assessment of the engineering offices, which is made available as a measure in the sense of § 7 paragraph 1 VgV to avoid a distortion of competition. There is no preference of the awarding entity for the commissioning of the pre-involved offices. The study on the inventory assessment revealed numerous structural and technical deficiencies and recommended a medium- to long-term general renovation of the indoor pool. For this reason, the city of Lahnstein intends to commission a feasibility study. This is to serve as a decision-making aid for the continuation of the project before the start of the actual planning work. It is to be examined whether a fundamental general renovation of the existing pool or a complete new building on the same site represents the more economical and sustainable solution. 2. Task Description The consideration could include, for example, the possible preservation of the basement of the pool, which was produced as a so-called "white tub". Furthermore, for example, possibilities for expansion according to the guidelines of the KOK (Coordination Circle Pools) Directive for pool construction, the size of the shower and changing areas including barrier-free access and the width of the pool surroundings are to be checked. In addition, the possibility of enlarging and redesigning the small children's area and possibly a separate diving pool could be considered. Within the framework of the feasibility study, in particular these four variants are to be examined: - 1. Variant: Demolition and new construction of the indoor pool - 2. Variant: General renovation of the indoor pool - 3. Variant: General renovation or new construction of the indoor pool with expansion of an outdoor pool for use as a year-round pool taking into account possible expansion areas - 4. Variant: Relocation of the indoor pool to the outdoor pool for use as a year-round pool taking into account possible expansion areas - Optional: Possibilities of a 5th variant in coordination with the client. The preparation of a cost estimate as well as the determination of the life cycle costs for the various variants is also to be carried out. Up to three on-site appointments for the presentation of the results to the client and in committees are planned. Documents are to be provided digitally. Reference is made to the description of services.
