The area where the old Gasverket has operated needs to be remediated and has previously been the subject of numerous site investigations over the years. The investigations, in which risk assessments have been carried out, show that there is a need for remedial action in the area. The project is now at a stage where remedial preparatory investigations are to be carried out. This includes, among other things, supplementary soil environmental investigation, air measurements, as well as hydrogeological and geotechnical investigation. The intended remediation method is through chemical oxidation or thermal treatment, where tests of each method are to be carried out. The results are to form the basis for detailed design, tender documentation (FFU) and grant application. The preparation of applications for remediation according to §28, tender documentation and grant application for the measure are not included in the contract.
