The 6th Saxony-Anhalt State Horticultural Show will take place in 2028 in the Lutherstadt Wittenberg, a city whose history is inextricably linked with the Reformation. It boasts four UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Castle Church, the City Church of St. Marien, the Luther House, and the Melanchthon House. At the same time, Wittenberg is a city on the Elbe. The river landscape shapes its landscape and forms the transition between the historic old town and the river. The State Horticultural Show Lutherstadt Wittenberg 2028 is based on the guiding idea of "Horticultural Show in a World Heritage Site". The so-called Kuhlache forms a central landscape and exhibition area between the historic town and the Elbe. For the Kuhlache Ost section, a preliminary design is available at the performance phases 1 and 2 for open spaces according to HOAI 2021. On a revitalisation area of around 25,500 m², including around 15,000 m² of herbaceous plant areas, a high-quality, permanently usable landscape park is to be created. During the State Horticultural Show, Kuhlache Ost will be the core area for horticultural presentations and visitor attractions. The challenge on the site is to present an appealing and horticultural show-worthy image on the opening day, 13.04.2028. The preliminary design and the basic design idea are available and are very closely defined. Individual elements and design sub-projects are already specified for the area in line with the guiding idea. The planning services largely concern the plantings and horticultural presentations, maintenance, and the planning and implementation of the design sub-projects. Therefore, the planning will cover structural, technical, material and vegetation-related details, as well as the on-site construction supervision to ensure the completion of all services by the opening day of the horticultural show. The subject of the tender is therefore the further planning development of this preliminary design in the performance phases 3 to 8. The further planning must be based stringently on the existing planning bases, the spatial basic idea, and the design principles and guiding principles documented in the appendices.
