The Baugenossenschaft Krumbach (Schwaben) e.G. intends to create affordable housing, in cooperation with the Krumbacher Stadtimmobilien AdöR, on an area of approximately 1ha. The settlement "Am Johannisbrunnen", which has existed for approximately 67 years, is no longer usable as living space due to poor building substance. The existing five residential buildings will be demolished and replaced by new constructions. The aim is to create future-proof, high-quality living space that meets the requirements of housing promotion according to EOF. A mixed structure is envisaged. An architectural competition was conducted in advance. In March 2025, the winners were determined in the jury session and, after negotiations, the office Auernhammer Wohlrab Architektur was commissioned with the planning.
