Redevelopment of new sterile department: The University Hospital Heidelberg (UKHD) intends to convert the existing cytotoxic preparation rooms in the old building of the Central Pharmacy into preparation rooms for terminally sterilised products. This involves a redevelopment measure in the existing building of the Medical Supply Centre, Im Neuenheimer Feld 670. New build of a Unit Dose Supply Unit: The project aim for the new build of a Unit Dose Supply Unit in the extension of the Central Pharmacy at the University Hospital Heidelberg is to pilot and introduce the Unit Dose Supply System step by step. This serves to increase the safety of working materials therapy and patient safety (patient-individual drug supply). This involves a room-in-room concept in the basement of the Pharmacy New Build, Im Neuenheimer Feld 667. It should be noted that both projects will be carried out in parallel, both in the planning and implementation phases.
