The procurement concerns Technical security service. The bidder shall deliver a service in the form of maintenance, servicing and upgrading of the existing technical equipment, as well as some expansion if needed, including the purchase of necessary hardware. Region Västernorrlands Rättspsykiatriska regionklinik (RPK) in Sundsvall is one of the country's largest units for the care and treatment of mentally ill offenders under the Act on forensic psychiatric care (LRV), as well as particularly care-needy patients cared for under the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care (LPT). The assignment also includes caring for clients from criminal care who are assessed as having a psychiatric care need. The clinic is located in Nacksta, west of Sundsvall, and consists of ten departments with 140 care places. RPK is a high-security facility and the operation is conducted in security classes 1, 2 and 3 according to the Socialstyrelsen's classification in HSLF-FS 2025:52. Security is paramount in the facility. Patients, visitors, as well as most of the staff, must undergo a general admission control to gain access. There is an advanced physical and technical security system, a security reception and a round-the-clock manned control centre.
