D.LIVE GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter D.LIVE) is the owner and operator of the Merkur Spiel-Arena and the associated operational areas in Düsseldorf. The company is the leading live entertainment operator in the greater Düsseldorf area and is responsible for the operation and marketing of top-tier venues for concerts, sports, and cultural events.

Object

The Merkur Spiel-Arena is a multifunctional event hall that was opened in 2004. With a capacity of up to 66,500 people, the venue offers outstanding infrastructure for national and international major events in sport, culture, and entertainment. The arena serves, among other things, as the home stadium for the Bundesliga football team Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Objective of the measure

The subject of the planning services is the complete renovation and redesign of the Merkur Business Club in the Merkur Spiel-Arena. The planning services cover the following areas:

- Merkur Business Club: approx. 2,170 m² net floor area (main planning area)

- Adjacent areas (to be included in the planning): The renovation will take place during the ongoing operation of the arena. The contractor must absolutely consider the following requirements:

- Maintaining the event operation (concerts, events, match operation of Fortuna Düsseldorf) at all times

- Compliance with noise protection regulations during nighttime, sound checks, and event-preparatory measures

- Ensuring order and cleanliness on all public areas

- Considering the match days of Fortuna Düsseldorf in the construction schedule

- Sensitive, considerate handling of the construction process according to the event calendar of the client

Note: The area of the Merkur Business Club affected by the renovation will not be available for events for the entire duration of the construction.
