The bypass of Groß-Bieberau is listed in the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan 2030 as a priority need. Currently, the B 38 runs through the town centre of Groß-Bieberau for a length of 2.2 km. Following the already completed route confirmation (completion of performance phase 2 "preliminary examination") by the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV), the planning project is now to be further planned in accordance with performance phases 3 to 5 HOAI.
