Description

Planning services for fire protection engineering for the Hamburg City Hall, AHO services incl. stage assignment. The award of the contract will assign stage 1. There is no entitlement to further stage assignments. The Hamburg City Hall of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg is a listed, historic building, which was built in the years 1886-1897 in the style of Neorenaissance by the Rathausmeisterbund under the leadership of Martin Haller. In terms of its unity of architectural style and its original preserved equipment, it represents a cultural-historical peculiarity. The City Hall is protected as an individual building. It is located in the city centre, adjacent to the "Kleine Alster" and the Rathausmarkt and is connected by link buildings to the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Hamburg. The building is a broad, symmetrical structure with a basement and mezzanine, 2 main floors and steep copper roofs. Various functional areas are intersected in the individual floors. The basement houses the Ratsweinkeller with the catering facilities, which extend over several guest and event areas. This catering area is externally leased and interventions in this area must be coordinated with both the lessee and the Sprinkenhof GmbH. A renovation and modernisation of the areas belonging to the catering operation is intended.
