Germany – Television broadcast transmission services – Weitverkehrsnetze

The service involves the provision and operation of private transport networks for TV signal delivery, live video streaming, time synchronization, as well as general file and data synchronization and monitoring between the two Playout Centers (POCs) of the Offenen Kanäle (OKs) in Rheinland-Pfalz and Vodafone GmbH (Vodafone), Deutsche Telekom AG (Telekom), and Zattoo Deutschland GmbH (Zattoo) for the redistribution of TV programs to their customers, hereinafter referred to as platform operators. The TV signals of 8 OK programs are taken over in the two OK-POCs in Trier (POC West) and Ludwigshafen (POC Ost), each with 4 programs (up to 8 programs per POC in case of failure). The network coupling and thus the handover of the signals to the platform operators takes place at their central broadband PoPs in Frankfurt am Main, Berlin or Munich.
