Description

The Gorleben mine is a former exploration mine for assessing the suitability as a possible repository for highly radioactive waste. On 28.09.2020, the Gorleben salt dome was not designated as a site area after applying the geoscientific evaluation criteria according to § 24 of the Site Selection Act (StandAG). The Federal Company for Radioactive Waste Disposal (BGE) has been tasked with closing the Gorleben mine. The closure of the Gorleben mine is taking place in phases. As part of Phase 1 of the mine closure, the salt heap belonging to the mine will be completely or almost completely dismantled, except for any remaining salt and the heap base, and transported underground. Phase 2 of the closure of the Gorleben mine involves the sealing of the shafts. In accordance with the guidelines of the State Mining Authority for Mining, Energy and Geology of the State of Lower Saxony for the sealing of day shafts (as of 19.12.2007) and in fulfilment of the requirements of § 55 paragraph 1 no. 5 and paragraph 2 no. 1 of the Federal Mining Act (BBergG) for the day shafts, the shafts Gorleben 1 and Gorleben 2 will be filled. Specifically, the provision of services is broken down as follows: - Shaft 2: Execution & approval planning, supply, assembly, commissioning, documentation of a shaft conveyor line, special ventilation (shaft ventilation line, fan technology) for shaft ventilation at shaft 2, semi-mobile feed technology for the shaft filling material for shaft 2 - Shaft 1: Execution & approval planning, supply, assembly, commissioning, documentation of a shaft conveyor line, special ventilation (shaft ventilation line, fan technology) for shaft ventilation at shaft 1, stage system with access possibility & material winch for shaft 1, relocation and adaptation of the semi-mobile feed technology from shaft 2 to shaft 1 An appropriate compensation will be paid for the conceptual planning work associated with the preparation of the tender and the effort involved in preparing the documents related to this. This compensation is due to any bidder who submits a final offer that is not to be excluded or is not excluded according to § 16EU VOB/A. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will not receive this compensation.
