As a result of the flood event on 14/15 July 2021, the slope east of the village of Müsch in the area of the Ahrufer was significantly eroded at the toe of the slope. Consequently, an existing landslide was reactivated. Since then, the slope has been in a continuous creeping or sliding motion and exhibits an unstable equilibrium. The affected slope area covers an area of approximately 2 ha along the Ahr. Geotechnical investigations show that the stability is significantly influenced by water ingress into the landslide mass and by the progressive erosive removal at the toe of the slope. Without stabilisation measures, further deterioration of the situation is to be expected. The objective of the project is to develop an implementation-ready, permitting-approved stabilisation concept for the sustainable stabilisation of the slope. In this context, measures to reduce water ingress, to secure the toe of the slope, and, if necessary, hydraulic adaptations are to be investigated and designed. The basis for the planning is the attached geotechnical report, which is to be referenced during the processing. The planning services are to be provided in an interdisciplinary manner, taking into account geotechnical, hydraulic, nature conservation and permitting requirements.
