skeyes intends to award one or more contracts to one or more contractors for the installation, rental, maintenance and support of Layer 2 network connections between the skeyes data centres in Steenokkerzeel and several remote sites of the skeyes nationwide WAM system, in a star (hub-spoke) architecture, to support phases 2A, 2B and 3 of the nationwide WAM project. The contract is divided into lots, with each remote site for which a network connection is to be made constituting a separate lot. The contracts will be awarded for an initial period of 5 years, starting from the receipt of the completed network connection. skeyes may terminate any contract each year, provided that a notice period of 3 months is respected. In addition, skeyes may tacitly renew each contract 3 times under the same conditions, each time for an additional period of 1 year. Therefore, the indicative maximum duration of each contract is 8 years.
