Germany – Construction work for swimming pool – Erlebnisbad Zeller Land - Los 25.2 - Vorgehängte Fassade

The Erlebnisbad Zeller Land was built around 45 years ago as a pure sports pool adjacent to the existing open-air pool. In 1993, the indoor pool was expanded and the open-air pool area, except for the children's paddling pool, was closed. Some areas of the pool are still in their original state from 1974 and are therefore in a corresponding condition. Even the newer components from the 1990s already show considerable defects and signs of wear and tear in the building structure and technical systems. This led the Verbandsgemeinde Zell an der Mosel, as the operator of the pool, to commission a renovation study in 2019. The result of the study was that the entire roof structure, the best. post-and-beam facade and all the technology are dilapidated and that a renovation of these areas is uneconomical. For this reason, it was decided by the client to demolish the indoor pool with the adjacent economic buildings (catering, residential building, etc.) and replace it with a new building. Only the basement with the swimming pool (year of construction 1974) and part of the economic buildings will remain. Surrounding conditions: The Erlebnisbad Zeller Land is located on the outskirts of Zell-Kaimt - surrounded by sports facilities and vineyards in the immediate vicinity of the Mosel.
