The Entsorgung Dortmund GmbH (EDG) is, among other things, responsible for the collection, utilisation and disposal of municipal and commercial waste. The Dortmund-Nordost landfill was commissioned in 1994 for the disposal of this waste. The EDG is the appointed third party of the public-law waste disposal entity Stadt Dortmund and, in accordance with the statute and landfill operating contract, is responsible for the commercial management of the special municipal assets of the Stadt Dortmund as well as the operation of the Nordost landfill. In this capacity, the EDG also carries out the surface sealing of the Nordost landfill. The subject of this tendering procedure are the engineering services for the design, tendering and construction supervision for the 1st construction phase of the surface sealing system in the transition area from the existing sealing of the old Grevel landfill to the deposition area DK I of the Nordost landfill, according to the 33rd plan change approval of 30.06.2026 to the plan approval decision of the Dortmund Nordost landfill of 09.10.1992. The EDG intends to finally seal the filled deposition areas of the waste of the deposition class DK I successively.
