Description

68163 Mannheim, Paul-Wittsack-Str. 6, Building G, MA, HS, Building G (old), Comprehensive renovation, Architectural services according to Part 3 Section 1 HOAI (Buildings and Interiors), Comprehensive renovation of laboratory building Technische Hochschule Mannheim - Building planning / Architectural services

The State of Baden-Württemberg, represented by Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, intends to carry out the comprehensive renovation of Building G (old) of the Technische Hochschule Mannheim. Building G (old) of the Technische Hochschule Mannheim was constructed between 1970 and 1972 and serves as a laboratory and lecture hall building. Due to its long period of use of over 50 years, the building no longer meets current standards in terms of construction, fire protection, and building services, so it is to be comprehensively renovated. It is a two-story reinforced concrete frame structure with a basement and a usable area of 1,473 m². It currently contains laboratory areas (Category S1) on both floors with a large number of digestors and a lecture hall with tiered seating that spans the basement and ground floor, currently without natural lighting. The building has a base area of 26.10m x 39.90m. The areas to be renovated amount to 1,473 m² NUF R, the total area including traffic and technical areas amounts to 2,929 m² NRF. The use as a laboratory and lecture hall building will be retained for the future. The comprehensive renovation includes the demolition of the building down to the static structure. The existing precast concrete facade will be dismantled - a completely new facade is desired in terms of design and energy efficiency. Modern learning forms are to be taken into account and enabled in the new design, such as learning areas in the corridor zones or project group workspaces. Previously missing functional rooms such as changing rooms for the laboratories or barrier-free WC facilities are to be added. The estimated construction costs are approximately 19.3 million €, with 8.1 million € for work section 300 and 11.2 million € for work section 400. The subject of the contract are the full services of building planning according to Part 3 Section 1 HOAI. The start of construction is planned for the end of 2030, completion for the end of 2033.
