Netherlands – Parking lot construction work – Truckparking Distripark Maasvlakte West

Havenbedrijf Rotterdam NV is developing a new secure truck parking facility with a capacity of 483 parking spaces for trucks at Distripark Maasvlakte West (TP MV West). The truck parking is designed using the design, materialization, and facilities of ‘Truckparking Maasvlakte Plaza Zuid’ as a reference. The parking will be realized on a greenfield location and will connect to the Adriatische Zeeweg. The parking spaces will be civilly prepared for future charging infrastructure for electric trucks. The scope of this tender concerns the civil and electrical work packages. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for interface management with two work packages by third parties (installing service buildings and access and payment systems).

Civil scope:

- earthworks and adaptation of the sewerage on the basis of a closed ground balance;

- realization of sewerage (HWA/DWA), water supply, firewater supply, regular service ducts (data, electrical network) and inspection chambers;

- laying a network of ‘empty’ service ducts and inspection chambers to provide all parking spaces with charging infrastructure for electric (night) charging in the future;

- hardening and marking of the truck parking, with heavier hardening around the gate area;

- construction of access road (Industrieweg type II 60 km/h) and realization of new intersection with the existing Adriatische Zeeweg (Industrieweg type I 80 km/h),

- placement of furniture such as, among others, bollards, camera masts, picnic benches, foundations for access systems, signage and wayfinding (NBD) etc.

- green and other works.

Electrical scope:

- placement of various electrical cabinets;

- laying energy supplies and installation/network for all truck parking objects that need electricity, including third-party systems;

- installation of lighting;

- laying reefer sockets.
