The planned works are part of the Measures Programme of the Second Cycle Flood Risk Management Plan (PGRI) of the Segura Hydrographic Demarcation, approved by Royal Decree 26/2023, of 17 January, where they are listed under the heading "Works for the interception of diffuse runoff downstream of the AP-7 and channeling towards the rambla de la Pescadería (T.M. Los Alcázares)". Funded by ERDF Programme Operational Programme for Pluriregional Spain 2021-2027. These works are considered to be in the general interest, in accordance with article 46.1.b) of the Consolidated Text of the Water Law and the additional provision second of Royal Decree-Law 27/2021, as they are included within the Framework of Priority Actions to recover the Mar Menor, in the section dedicated to flood risk management. Funded by ERDF Programme Operational Programme for Pluriregional Spain 2021-2027.
