Germany – Railway construction works – VP2: Wellmitz Kabeltiefbau inkl. Coschen und Neuzelle

As part of the new construction of the ESTW Wellmitz, extensive civil engineering works are to be carried out to create the infrastructure for the control and signalling technology. The scope of services includes, in particular, the new construction and demolition of cable management systems with approximately 13 km of cable ducts, the creation of numerous cable shafts, cable markers, pipe trenches as well as track, road and watercourse crossings. Furthermore, the creation of signal and mast foundations, the construction of approximately 1.1 km of edge path structures, extensive earthworks including soil exchange and drainage measures as well as unexploded ordnance surveys are to be carried out. The measure also includes superstructure works with demolition of insulated joints, rail replacement and restoration of the track area after crossing measures. At the ESTW site, the development and design of the outdoor facilities including access, enclosure as well as supply and disposal facilities will be carried out. Additionally, demolition and disposal services, technical processing as well as inventory and revision documentation are part of the contract. The construction area extends along line 6153 between km 110.990 and km 126.690.
