The contract involves the renovation of an existing building from 1998, located at Edgard Tinellaan 2b, on the ring road around Mechelen. The building currently serves as residential accommodation for children from the CKG department and also contains an office environment. They will move to another building. In the future, 12 young people, aged between 12 and 18, will be supported in the form of a study workshop for the Aanzet. The mobile staff of the Aanzet will also have their workplace here. Approximately three quarters of the space is provided for residential use, in the form of individual studios with also communal space(s). The remaining quarter will be set up as an office environment. The renovation aims to create a multifunctional building and associated facilities for the stay and support of 12 young people. The works will be carried out on behalf of the vzw Emmaüs and, to a large extent, with the support of the Agentschap Jongerenwelzijn/VIPA. We aim for a well-thought-out plan with a homely atmosphere that meets the design guidelines of VIPA, INTER and the applicable legislation. The building will be vacated for the renovation works. Gross area to be renovated 1112m² (area under pitched roof measured at a clear height of 1.8m, 20m² basement included) Timing: spring 2027 application for environmental permit and submission of VIPA dossier, commissioning spring 2029. Budget: 1.850.000 euro (excl. VAT, revisions and unforeseen circumstances) for rough construction, finishing, techniques, fixed furniture and outdoor layout.
