Germany – Telephone and data transmission services – Vergabe einer Dienstleistungskonzession in Verbindung mit einer Wirtschaftlichkeitslückenförderung zum NGA-Breitbandausbau im Landkreis Emmendingen, Stufe III Schulen

The aim of the Emmendingen district is to ensure comprehensive NGA coverage in the district and to provide a data rate of at least 1 Gbit/s symmetrically to the 27 currently underserved address points (schools) at peak load conditions. To this end, a service concession will be awarded within the framework of the so-called economic viability gap funding, with which the planning, construction and operation of an NGA network based on a grant agreement will be transferred to a telecommunications company. The funds (hereinafter: funds) provided in the economic viability gap model are to be passed on to the commissioned telecommunications company in the sense of EU state aid law as an investment cost subsidy for the construction and operation of the gigabit network. The same applies to the co-financing according to the VwV Breitbandmitfinanzierung or VwV Gigabitmitfinanzierung by the State of Baden-Württemberg.
