With this tender, Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) aims to provide for the procurement need for the supply of GMDSS-communication subscriptions for the benefit of the seagoing vessels of the Rijksrederij. These GMDSS communication means are intended for the transmission of distress signals by the vessels of the Rijksrederij and, in addition, for receiving distress signals from other vessels when the Rijksrederij fulfills its assisting role in incidents. To achieve this, this procurement provides for the supply of subscriptions including connection for the emergency radios from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2031, with two optional extensions of one year each thereafter.
