The subject of this tender is the strong and weak current installations as part of the general renovation of the Oberburg of the Genovevaburg. The construction site is accessible via the Mario-Adorf-Burgweg. However, this is only partially passable. Delivery by truck or other larger vehicles will therefore take place at the construction site setup area in the Boemundring/Market Square area. A crane for material transport is available here. The city of Mayen intends to renovate and modernise the Oberburg of the Genovevaburg and to renovate and expand the existing museum into the Oberburg. Furthermore, premises for the use of the Burgfestspiele are to be created here. The floor area of the Oberburg is approximately 30 × 30 m. The building is partially cellared, with one area of the cellar being accessible at ground level directly via the entrance to the castle. The special feature of the object is that the entire Oberburg is under monument protection and therefore special care must be taken during installation. In the interior, the castle largely consists of dry stone walls and partially also of timber-framed walls. The escape routes must be kept clear of vehicles and materials at all times. Throughout the construction period, it must be ensured that public traffic routes and the use of the museum in the Unterburg are not impaired. The use of the "Goloturm" will be discontinued throughout the construction period, as visitors would inevitably have to walk through the construction site here. The tower should be released again as far as possible. Corresponding notes will be provided in good time.
