Description

The Federal Construction Department, part of the Authority for Urban Development and Housing of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, is one of four departments of the Building Order and Construction Authority. It carries out all construction tasks for the federal properties located in Hamburg as the responsible construction authority, through the organ loan. In particular, the Federal Construction Department is responsible for the planning and execution of new, conversion and extension construction, including maintenance and renovation on military and civilian federal properties. Military properties include, among others, the Bundeswehr Hospital Hamburg, the Bundeswehr Leadership Academy and the University of the Bundeswehr (Helmut Schmidt University). Civilian properties include the Federal Police, Customs, the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, the Federal Agency for Technical Relief and the German Weather Service. Further tasks of the Federal Construction Department include technical user consultation, the preparation of technical expert reports and evaluations, and participation in federal grant construction measures. In this capacity, the Federal Construction Department Hamburg was commissioned with the new construction of a lecture hall building at the Generalleutnant Graf von Baudissin Barracks, Blomkamp 61 in 22549 Hamburg.
