In the centre of Pijnacker, a new Social and Cultural Centre is being developed. The centre will house, among other things, a library, music school, theatre groups and dance school and will provide course rooms and workplaces. The new centre is intended to give a quality boost to the city centre. The location makes this a complex project, right in the city centre with a lot of pedestrian traffic and close to a school.

Meanwhile, the Definitive Design (DO) is already in the final stages and the project needs to be tendered for realisation. The municipality intends to select a construction partner for the further development of the design, demolition and new construction.
