The existing kindergarten, despite ongoing building maintenance, exhibits a high level of renovation needs due to functional defects inherent to its construction period. Additionally, there is a need to expand the group rooms from the current 4 to 5, along with additional functional areas. To achieve the best possible architectural, urban planning, economic, and energy-efficient solution for the renovation and expansion, the municipality of Merdingen has conducted an architectural design competition.
