Belgium – Construction work – KALMTHOUT - Nieuwbouw Erasmusatheneum en Basisschool De 4sprong - DESIGN & BUILD

The project aims to demolish several existing obsolete buildings and replace them with a new construction featuring the following functions: a secondary school with 350 places, shared administrative functions with the primary school, and a sports hall in Kalmthout. The new construction will be integrated into the site with the aim of bringing the operation of the entire site together into a harmonious whole:

- The existing building G02 will house part of the secondary school's programme, necessitating a close link.

- The primary school requires an administrative zone and a multi-purpose hall, which will be included in the new construction, shared between primary and secondary.

- The layout allows certain functions in broad use to operate separately.

The indicative project budget is 10,500,000 euro incl. VAT and study costs. In order to monitor costs and deadlines, it was decided to execute the contract via a 'DB-formula', namely one government contract for the design and execution of the delivered services and works until final delivery by the Contractor. During the execution, an indicative number of milestone payments is provided.
