Germany – Feasibility study, advisory service, analysis – BIM-Planung Machbarkeit, Sanierung/Erneuerung EÜ Kieler Straße und LSW

The EÜ Kieler Str. in Hamburg needs to be renovated, partially renewed, or replaced. The listed existing structure of the EÜ Kieler Straße was built at km 1,809 in 1927 and is based on a steel frame construction. The structure carries the goods bypass railway 1234 over the 2-lane Kieler Str. (including 2 footpaths and cycle paths). During the last inspection and assessment in 2024/25, extensive damage to the structure was discovered. The remaining service life is only guaranteed with conditions until the end of 06/2029. By then, the bridge must either be renovated, upgraded, or replaced by a new structure or a temporary bridge. The railway overbridge EÜ Kieler Straße is a listed building and is therefore to be preserved in principle. Only on the condition that a conservation-compliant renovation cannot be proven to be possible, can the EÜ be renewed or partially renewed. Due to the urgency of the situation, a feasibility study in LPH2 (special service) for the renovation and simultaneous preliminary planning for various variants should be carried out for the EÜ Kieler Straße. This parallel approach in time is a solution with a case-by-case character. On the section of the line, there is a 2.00 m above sea level noise barrier on the left of the track. In the structure area to the EÜ Kieler Straße on a torsion beam, which is also to be considered in the course of the planning task.
