Germany – Recreational, cultural and sporting services – Änderungsbekanntmachung: Pacht, Betrieb und Modernisierung der Caracalla Therme und des Friedrichsbads in Baden-Baden

The contracting authority makes the following changes as well as the changes under section 5.1 and section 5.1.6 compared to the original notice with the number 460672-2025. The subject of the tender is the lease, operation and modernisation of the Caracalla Therme, the Friedrichsbad and the Roman bath ruins in Baden-Baden. The BKV - Bäder- und Kurverwaltung Baden-Württemberg, a public-law institution wholly owned by the Land Baden-Württemberg ("contracting authority"), intends to find an experienced and qualified operator for the joint operation of the two spas, who will develop the two spa facilities economically, sustainably and at the same time with a view to the cultural and historical significance for Baden-Baden. The specific scope of services to be provided by the contractor differs for both spas due to the different operational and structural requirements and design possibilities. The two spas have been in need of renovation for some time. Significant investments in the existing fabric are necessary to preserve the partly historical substance for future generations and at the same time to make the spas future-proof in terms of sustainability and attractiveness. In particular, the exact scope of the leased plots of land and buildings or facilities as well as the obligations of the operator will be specified by the contracting authority in the negotiation procedure. Currently, the Carasana GmbH operates both spas.
