Vantaa and Kerava Wellbeing Area (hereinafter the Contracting Authority) invites tenders for the procurement of general anaesthesia dental care services. The basis for the procurement is the amendment to section 45 of the Health Care Act (1326/2010) as of 1.10.2025 (L1081/2024) and the related Government Decree (Government Decree on Certain Surgical Procedures and Medical Treatments 888/2025) amendment related to the transfer of responsibility for dental care under anaesthesia from specialist healthcare to primary healthcare. Due to the legislative change and the related decree, the Contracting Authority will be responsible for providing dental care under general anaesthesia to patients in primary healthcare if necessary. This is a procurement in accordance with Appendix E of the Procurement Act (Act on Public Procurement and Concession Agreements 1397/2016). An open procedure is used in the procurement, so all interested parties may submit a tender. The service is described in more detail in the attachment Service Description. The Contracting Authority is not committed to a minimum purchase quantity during the contract period, but the service will be procured as needed. The contract is for a fixed term of two (2) years from the date of signature of the contract, 01.02.2027 (estimated start date). The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend the contract period by two (2) option years, one (1) year at a time. The Contracting Authority also reserves the right to take up a shorter option period than one (1) year at a time, for example, half a year.
