The three hospitals in Aurich, Emden, and Norden are to be merged into a single clinic. The plan is to construct a complex of several buildings with associated traffic, parking, and open spaces. The central clinic will be a modern 814-bed facility located centrally between the cities of Aurich, Emden, and Norden on a 36-hectare site in Uthwerdum. The building site is located in Uthwerdum, a district of the municipality of Südbrookmerland in the district of Aurich in East Frisia. The site will be accessed via the adjacent federal roads B72 and B21 to the south. The tender includes the supply and installation of components for KGR 480 - Building Automation in the buildings of the Supply Centre, Somatic, Centre for Mental Recovery and Energy Centre.
