The road bridge installation Schachtschleuse Eisenhüttenstadt carries the Gubener Straße (L372) over the lower head of the twin lock Schachtschleuse with its two lock chambers and the Spree-Oder-Wasserstraße (SOW) at canal kilometre 127,46. In the immediate vicinity of the bridge structure and the lock in an easterly direction, a railway bridge of Deutsche Bahn spans the lower forehaven of the lock. During the construction measures, both the lock including the lock building and the railway bridge in the immediate vicinity of the construction site must be taken into account and preserved. The intersection is in the easternmost canal section of the Spree-Oder-Wasserstraße and is under the maintenance responsibility of the Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt Spree-Havel (WSA). The structure is located in the city area of Eisenhüttenstadt (Landkreis Oder-Spree) in the southeast of the federal state of Brandenburg in the district of Fürstenberg (Oder) and connects the incorporated district of Fürstenberg with the federal highway B 112 in the south of Eisenhüttenstadt near the German-Polish border. A complete replacement new construction of the road bridge is necessary due to irreversible damage and the high age of the structure (> 90 years). The WNA Berlin will have a replacement structure for the road bridge at the twin lock in Eisenhüttenstadt constructed. The superstructure of the replacement new construction is planned as a steel box girder with composite plate. The substructures consist of massive walkable reinforced concrete abutments, which are deep-founded on large-diameter bored piles Ø 1,20 m. During the construction period, the pedestrian and cycle traffic will be routed via a temporary bridge. In parallel, lines of the TAZV (ADL DN 350), the KEV 2 x DN 140 and the Telekom DN 75 will be routed on the temporary bridge. These lines must be pivoted and relocated in the construction site according to the progress of the construction.
