The Stadtwerke Rostock AG intends to procure a 2h battery storage system, including turnkey delivery, construction and commissioning. The project's aim is to generate profits through battery marketing while simultaneously or flexibly using several electricity markets (control energy market, spot market). Modern grid-forming inverters are planned, which will also be able to serve future markets, such as the frequency containment reserve market or the capacity market, and behave in a grid-supportive manner. The battery storage plant is to be constructed on the premises of Stadtwerke Rostock AG, Schmarler Damm 5, 18069 Rostock.
