Germany – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – DLR-Standort Ulm - RAPID_KI Gebäude 7 - Leistungen der Generalplanung, Leistungsphasen 3-9 gemäß HOAI

The DLR Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI) requires a suitable environment for development and testing at the Ulm location. For the RAPID project (formerly MATE), a partial area in Building 7 is available. A room with an area of approximately 200 m² and a clear height of at least 5 m is to be created for this purpose. The interior walls are to serve as projection surfaces and should therefore be as smooth as possible and free of structures. Joints and seams are to be reduced to a minimum. A control room with direct visual connection to the open area is required for monitoring. In addition, spaces for a wood workshop and a precision engineering workshop are to be created. These will be housed in the ancillary rooms around the former drop tower on the ground floor and the 1st floor. In this context, the installation of a new staircase is planned. The control room will be built between the corridor of the former drop tower and Building 7 on the 1st floor. An additional staircase is also required for this. To implement the measure, demolition work on existing laboratory rooms with system partition walls and masonry walls, including the associated technical infrastructure, is required. Furthermore, structural adaptations such as the partial demolition of an existing crane runway and a folding gate are necessary. New underground tanks are to be provided for the power and data/IT supply of the open area. The total costs of the project (cost group 200-600, as of October 2024) are estimated at 1.4 million € net. The milestones for implementing the project are: - Start of services: September 2026 - Start of construction: February 2028 - End of construction: September 2028. It is intended to award the following services with this tender: Services of general planning consisting of: - Building and interior design, Lph. 3-9 according to §§ 33 ff. HOAI, - Services of the planning of the technical equipment, ALG 1-8, performance phases 3-9 according to §§ 53 ff. HOAI, - Structural engineering, performance phases 3-6 according to §§ 49 ff. HOAI. Initially, in the awarding stage 1a, the performance phase 3 (design planning) according to HOAI, or according to the annex of the contract, will be commissioned. The performance phases 4-9 will be called up step by step. There is no legal entitlement to a full commission.
