DB InfraGO AG plans to carry out a general renovation of line 5703 Rosenheim–Salzburg in the first half of 2027. During the general renovation, DB will extensively renew, among other things, tracks, points, overhead lines, bridges and stations. The investment sum for this project is estimated at approximately EUR 825.0 million. Of this, approximately EUR 30.0 million has already been settled via an existing contract. The newly tendered insurance contract will replace the existing contract. A construction period until the third quarter of 2027 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering procedure with the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type L) The sum insured per claim in the liability insurance is EUR 25,000,000 in total for personal, property and financial losses, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. In the professional indemnity insurance, a separate sum insured per claim of EUR 10,000,000 in total for property and financial losses is available. The aforementioned sums are tripled. The Extended Maintenance in the Construction and Assembly Insurance part amounts to 42 months. The liability period is 10 years in the liability insurance, and 5 years in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible is waived for personal injuries. The extended planning cover is included in the professional indemnity insurance. As part of the extended planning cover, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
