Germany – Engineering services – Generalsanierung Invalidenkaserne - Fachplanung Technische Ausrüstung HLS

The municipality of Donauwörth plans the comprehensive renovation of the Invalidenkaserne (Pflegstraße 24). The elongated, two-story building with a gable roof, curved gables, and a continuous, partially boarded arcade on the courtyard side was built in 1715/16 as a barracks for 400 men. From 1803, the barracks were used as an invalid home and from 1805 as a hospital. Today, the Invalidenkaserne is a residential building with 18 residential units and the clubhouse of the Soldaten- und Kameradschaftsverein Donauwörth. The Invalidenkaserne is a listed monument (file number D-7-79-131-51) and is to be fundamentally renovated. Exclusive residential use is planned for the property in the future. The total costs (cost groups 200-600) are provisionally estimated at 6.0 million EUR gross. Possible funding programs will be examined and developed as part of the planning process.
