In particular, in the context of measurement-intensive cochlea operations, but also in the context of microvascular flap reconstructions, digital microscopes with real-time integration of fluorescence images are essential for current medicine. In particular, with regard to patient safety, such real-time integrations into the surgeon's display, without the need to move the hand out of the operating field, are a major advantage. The head-mounted display allows the surgeon to control the situation independently via head movements and is much less restricted in their posture than with ocular-bound views.
