Germany – IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – Rahmenvertrag für Dienstleistungen in den Bereichen Usability, User Experience und kontinuierliche Erfolgsmessung

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the world's largest organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers and for the internationalisation of German universities. Since its foundation in 1925, the DAAD has supported more than 2.9 million academics in Germany and abroad. It is a registered association supported by German universities and student bodies. In addition to awarding scholarships, the DAAD promotes the internationalisation of German universities, strengthens German studies and the German language abroad, supports developing countries in establishing efficient higher education institutions, and advises policymakers in the fields of culture, education, and development. To this end, it maintains an external network with offices, information centres, and information points in more than 60 countries. Worldwide, more than 1,200 committed employees in Bonn, Berlin, and external offices work towards the DAAD's goals. The DAAD is primarily funded by federal funds from the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the European Union. Other sponsors include foreign governments, companies, foundations, and the Donors' Association for German Science. The DAAD is tendering for services in the areas of usability, user experience, and continuous success measurement. A contractor (AN) with specific expertise and experience in the areas of usability, user experience, conducting user acceptance tests, continuous success measurement, optimisation, and requirements analysis is sought. The AN conceives and conducts user-centred investigations (e.g. usability tests, acceptance tests, user surveys, target group interviews), continuously measures the success of existing and new features, analyses information architecture, navigation, and interaction design, and derives concrete optimisation recommendations from this. In addition, the AN supports the DAAD in requirements analysis and prioritisation of further development needs and documents the results in compact, decision-oriented reports for the product managers. The services listed below can be commissioned in combinations adapted to the respective project, both in individual studies and in longer-term projects. Corresponding tasks may also be performed for mobile apps under Android and/or iOS, possibly in parallel with development. However, no specific development is currently planned. The DAAD expects the following services from the contractor: a) Usability and user acceptance tests (on-site or remote) b) User surveys and target group interviews (on-site or remote) c) Laboratory use or rental for on-site tests d) Design of customised UX monitoring systems for continuous success measurement e) Creation of personas and user structure analyses f) Workshops and design thinking (on-site or remote) g) Consulting, continuous optimisation support, content review, and expert analysis h) Documentation and presentation of results i) Web analysis and user tracking.
