Lighting for Tunnels

As part of this Procurement, the Municipality intends to purchase 'Tunnel Lighting'. The Contract consists of the supply of the materials and fittings required for the lighting of a tunnel or underpass, as listed in the Technical Specification, and if necessary, based on a lighting plan drawn up by the supplier. The installation of the lighting is not within the scope of this contract.

Project Description

Most of the lighting in Amsterdam has been replaced by LED lighting in recent years. The lighting of a number of smaller tunnels and underpasses fell outside the scope. These tunnels and underpasses now also need LED lighting. Initially, this concerns approximately 20 tunnels and/or underpasses, with an expected increase in the coming four to six years. However, replacement will only take place when the current lighting fails, so the exact scope cannot be specified. There are also additional specific tasks: inspecting and advising per location, for which a lighting plan will be drawn up by the supplier. In addition, the supplier will also be responsible for the delivery of the required materials. The maintenance contractor will handle the installation, which is therefore outside the scope of this procurement.
