With this tender, Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) aims to provide for the procurement of GMDSS communication subscriptions for the benefit of the seagoing vessels of the Rijksrederij. These GMDSS communication means are for the transmission of distress signals by the vessels of the Rijksrederij and, in addition, for the reception of distress signals from other vessels when the Rijksrederij fulfils its assisting role in incidents. To achieve this, this procurement provides for the delivery of subscriptions including connection for the emergency radios from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2031, with two optional extensions of one year each.
