Spain – Railway materials – Suministro de aparatos de vía para la prolongación de los ramales de ferrocarril en la nueva terminal de contenedores de Cádiz. Fase 2. (CA-082-26)

The Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz, within its Strategic Plan, envisages the enhancement of LO-LO traffic in the commercial dock of Cádiz through the construction of a New Container Terminal, a project currently completed in its first phase. Its railway connection with the RFIG is part of the overall project and replaces the previously existing one in the Reina Sofía dock terminal. For this, ADIF must execute the railway access to the port at a point on Avenida de los Astilleros, while the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz must execute the internal branch of the port area to the new terminal and the operating areas. On 24 December 2023, the construction of the project “RAIL ACCESS BRANCHES TO THE NEW CONTAINER TERMINAL OF CÁDIZ (1ST PHASE) RECOVERY, TRANSFORMATION AND RESILIENCE PLAN - FUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION - NEXT GENERATION EU” (CA-042-23) was awarded, a contract that was terminated for breach of the main obligation of the contractor on 17 October 2024. The project was re-tendered with new code CA-083-24, resulting in the award on 13 March 2025. Work began on 14 May 2025 and is ongoing. This project includes the supply and installation of two sets of points for connecting the main line with the marshalling yard designed with a directing track and a second shunting track, also leaving the deviation for a future third track. In parallel with the execution of Phase 1 of the project, the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz tenders the technical assistance service for “DRAFTING THE PROJECT FOR THE EXTENSION OF RAIL BRANCHES IN THE NEW CONTAINER TERMINAL (PHASE 2)” (CA-079-25), awarded on 26 April 2026 to the company TG4 CONSULTORES AEC, S.L. This project has been allocated CEF funds under the following name: Project 101079544 — 21-ES-TG-CADIZMULTIMODAL WP5. EXTENSION OF THE RAIL YARD. PHASE II. During the drafting of the project, it has been considered necessary, in order to optimise deadlines, for the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz to acquire the necessary sets of points, as they are specific railway elements with long delivery times and relevant technical conditions for the final definition of the layout, the slab track, the signalling and the future execution of the works.
