Section 130a Paragraph 8 SGB V allows health insurance funds and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurance funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures takes place in accordance with the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB by DAK-Gesundheit. For medicines to be specified by the bidder in more detail in Annex 2 to the contract for the above-mentioned substance Brivaracetam, ATC N03AX23, DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude discount contracts with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until new pharmaceutical discount contracts come into force. A discount contract under the authorisation model for the above-mentioned substance comes into force for the first time on 01.09.2026 and ends on 31.08.2028 (plus extension option 1x12 months). It ends automatically with the entry into force of the exclusive contract, regardless.
