The entity requires the renewal and expansion of its bus fleet to ensure the continuity, safety, quality and efficiency of the public service, as well as the progressive adaptation to the technical, environmental and accessibility standards required by the applicable sectoral legislation. The incorporation of new vehicles is necessary to replace units with greater age and/or lower operational efficiency, reducing maintenance incidents, polluting emissions and operating costs. Furthermore, the choice of the operating lease model with an option to purchase is justified for reasons of financial sustainability, as it allows the staggered acquisition of assets through periodic payments, without the need for a high initial outlay, maintaining the entity's budgetary flexibility and, if applicable, enabling the definitive incorporation of the vehicles into ALGESA's assets at the end of the contract under pre-defined economic conditions.
