Description

The MoSeS ("Mobile Sensor System") system is an unmanned mobile land system that can be used by soldiers in mounted and dismounted operations, either semi-autonomously or remotely controlled, even under adverse weather conditions (particularly high wind speeds and limited visibility). The system must be transportable in currently deployed and future procured armoured transport vehicles and transport vehicles and fully operable independently of the vehicles. The main components of MoSeS are its self-propelled unit (the mobile sensor carrier) and its operating and evaluation unit (BAE). The mobile sensor carrier is controlled and monitored by the BAE. The BAE must provide the operator with the ability to directly control the mobile sensor carrier or to enter the route to be travelled into an electronic map based on waypoints to be driven. For mission execution, the mobile sensor carrier must be able to follow waypoints in a semi-automated manner and to detect and automatically avoid or bypass obstacles day and night. The system must provide the operator with the ability to view reconnaissance results continuously and with minimal delay. The framework agreement includes the development, manufacture and delivery of up to 28 complete "MoSeS" systems including accessories and peripheral services.
