The municipality of Utrecht wishes to conclude a framework agreement with one contractor for the gatekeeper for serious dyslexia care. The contract has two interrelated objectives. On the one hand, the gatekeeper is responsible for access to specialist help for children with serious, persistent reading and spelling problems (serious dyslexia). On the other hand, the gatekeeper plays an important role in the preventive approach by collaborating with the municipality, education and care providers with the aim of providing children with reading and spelling problems with timely appropriate support and, where possible, preventing the use of specialist dyslexia care. Based on historical data, the contractor assesses between 300 and 375 cases annually. The estimated value over the maximum duration of 4 years is € 220,000.
