Germany – Construction work for buildings relating to law and order or emergency services – TNW: Sanierung Rathaus Langenhagen

For the town hall, completed in 1984, at Marktplatz, there is a need for renovation and expansion. The municipal administrative areas are located at several sites and are to be brought together in a central building, which offers a flexible space for modern workplaces. Furthermore, the existing town hall no longer meets current requirements from various structural aspects. In particular, the outdated state of the technical building equipment and window facades, the poor energy efficiency, and the fire protection no longer compliant with directives, result in urgent needs for action. The construction project includes the - already commissioned elsewhere - expansion by an annex and the - to be commissioned with the tendering procedure carried out here - renovation of the existing town hall in Langenhagen. The existing structure will be retained in terms of its load-bearing structure and facade and adapted in the interior to the new spatial requirements.
